Prologue

  When you look at the small quiet town of Hauntsville you see a nice quiet town where everyone knows each other, but when you travel deep into the heart of Hauntsville you discover a much darker world that has been ravaged by a horrible monster for centuries. This monster is known as the Hauntsville Hunter.

                          Chapter one

   The townspeople have been driven to a horrible madness, caused by having to provide a newborn calf from the herd to pay as protection of their family’s, and children.

   The town’s elders were afraid. They themselves with the most power in the town were at the Hunter’s whim, and followed his commands. On the day of the dreaded tribute one foolish yet courage’s family stood up to the beast, and as punishment the families’ farm was burned, cattle slain, and the family was taken as his slaves for the rest of their lives. The Hunter made sure the town knew to never do this again to show the town what happens when you defy him the Hunter made a threat to slay each and every both young and old alike male and female steer the townspeople owned. This scared the town so much that they locked the cattle inside the barn unless a cattleman was out.

   One day when the cattleman was asleep, a steer went astray. The Hunter noticed the steer’s presence and was quick to grab it and make food of it.

   The next day at dawn a horseman happened to be on the Hunter’s tracks and found a slaves body by a stream. The Hunter saw him and was afraid that he would tell the town that a slave of his had died, but the Hunter thought, “He can’t tell the town if he is not alive to do it”. So he decided to kill him on the spot. The Hunter threw a javelin and it struck the rider in the chest.

   Then the Hunter feasted on them and left the bones for the wolves. Then The Hunter hastily cleaned the spot where he had had his banquet of meat and flesh.

   Tribute day was among the town and The Hunter was taking his tributes when a scream shattered the silence. A small boy had cut himself while gutting a deer. The Hunter didn’t care much for this, but figured he would introduce himself.

              Geniva’s Monster Story
Oh! My goodness! There is a monster coming our way." Hurry, hurry," lets get in the car and skit skittle. "Oh my, oh my, get out of it's way before it eats you. "Well you never know guys it could be a nice one. “Ya I guess your right. "We could give it a try." "Ya, lets try to pet it. "see  its nice after all." It probably was hungry for my chocolate malt bar, or my chocolate milk." well, let's see if it likes it. " “Ok, Here boy. Here boy.  See, its nice after all. “

Chapter Two
  " Can we take it home?" Well, I," Please ", well, I guess that would be ok. Three weeks later There they are sitting on the couch living the life, eating double cheese burgers from McDonalds in the middle of the living room.                        

    Hugo’s Monster Story
Oh! My goodness! There is a monster coming are way! He is big and ugly. He has a big ugly face, and smelly feet. He likes destroying towns. It killed millions of people and animals. It likes eating cows. Lots of people had tried to kill him but couldn’t. He is from another world or something.
       There is one kid named Yang-Shou. He is the only one that can stop the monster. Because he can sing a song that can make anybody go to sleep if he sings that song, we can stop panicking. I went over to his house and told him to sing it. But the monster was to close. He climbed to his house and stared singing.
       He started to fall asleep. Then the S.W.A.T team came and threw him in the ocean.

Megan’s Monster Story
Chapter 1
''Hey Alexis what do you want to do?'' ''I don't know. Then all of a sudden a weird light appears in the sky. ''Aah, it's a monster coming from the sky!'' I said. ''Run. ''Somebody said.
We ran until we couldn't run any farther. Then we hid behind a tree. “Do you think we lost it?' Alexis said. ”Hopefully,'' I said.’ Maybe we can get the police.' 'Alexis said. ''They would never believe us .I said.
                          Chapter 2
Then we walked to the car where my dad was. ''Dad, you would not believe this. There was a monster came from the sky! ''I told my dad.  Megan was you seeing things? ''My dad said. ''No! We did see it. ''Alexis said, of course he didn't believe any of it.
 On the way back to Alexis house we both saw the monster again! ''Dad! We saw the monster again! ''I said. ''Yeah!'' Alexis said.
                  
Then he finally saw the monster. ''Ok, girls you were right, I’m sorry. ''My dad said.'' Apology accepted Mr. Roberson. ''Alexis said, ‘‘Ok, Alexis maybe we should tell the police. ''I said. ''That is a great idea, why didn’t I think of that, oh yeah I did. ''Alexis said.
When we got to the police station we told them but they did not believe use one bit. ''So what now? ''I asked. ''I don't know.'' Alexis said. Guess we should take you home, Alexis. ''I said. ''Yeah, I guess so. ''Alexis said .We went to Alexis's house and drop her off. Then my dad and I went home. We never saw the monster again.

Brooke’s Monster Story
   Oh  ! My goodness ! There is a monster coming our way so I said lets get in the closest basement we can find. But he was getting closer and closer. We finally found a great big black wall so we all went over and we went in the back to were he couldn't find us so he walked away because he couldn't find us.

       Then a few days after that we were having fun and we started hearing stuff. We just forgot about it, then a few minutes later we saw what it looked like it was green with slimy stuff on him. We ran and he got somebody. The guy just stuck to him like he was magnet. There was a lot of stuff sticking to him. Then we went over by the river and see if he could fall in the water but he saw the water and he turned around and saw us running. He chased us then a big black cat came out and we didn't know that the monster was scared of black cats and then here comes a big black dog then a hole bunch of cats and dogs so then the dogs started barking and the cats started meowing. Then the animals were getting closer and the monster didn't see the river behind him he fell in and was trying to get out but he drowned. So everyone went on forgetting about the monster so they had a good time the next day because it was Halloween.

David’s Monster Story

Monsters are so scary. They are scary. They can kill a lot of people. Some times scare people. Some monsters are good. Monsters same monsters are bad they could kill a lot of people same of the monsters help people on Halloween a lot of kids are dressed as monsters I like to dressed like a monster my brothers like to see scare thing like scare movies I don’t like scare thing like Michelle and Nikki and Jody is the scary boy of the of my class room and they said I like Jody.
    Jody's best friend is Hugo another monster he like scary movies a lot of people monster same of them are cool monster.

Kati’s Monster Story
Oh! My goodness! There's a monster coming our way! He is about 5”3 and a green monster with big yellow sharp teeth that is sticking out of his mouth. We were just about to go on a walk through the woods and then this. This monster jumped out of no were and started chasseing us. Then all we could do is run. Oh no there’s a dead end! Then I remembered that through the brick wall there is a secret door. And it’s the very last brick on the left. Oh no he’s ganging up on us...

Anonymous Monster Story

Jody and Boe the Monsters
It all happened on the night of Halloween, in the town of Michelle. It was a big hairy, ugly monster, and it was coming our way. Everyone was fleeing in fear. It was getting closer and closer, when finally it was here. Then out of nowhere appeared another one. It was even bigger. I was just standing there staring at them. All of a sudden one started to talk. He sounded like a wimpy little girl. He introduced himself as Jody. Then the other one said his name was Boe. In my mind I was thinking what kind of monsters are they? Then once again they started talking," We are friendly monsters not mean and viscous ones."

Then it was all clear to me they saw how much fun we were having on Halloween night, and the wanted to join. That night learned something very important. Never judge anyone by how they look, but how they act!
Then out of nowhere I heard a voice, a very scary voice and it was coming from behind the smaller monster. He moved and I saw an even smaller one. He was about two feet tall, and he looked like a teddy bear. The two bigger monsters said it was a reward for being so kind.

What every one thought would be the worst Halloween was my best! Now ever where I go I have a little friend to take with me.

CHENYA’S MONSTER STORY                                                                         

Oh my god theirs a giant sea monster coming toward us.  What should we do I know were is my dad he'll know. Dad says I am exaggerating. I say he’s laying it said that he was on the news ill build a super predictive fort. When dad sees the monster I will be a hero. I will be like superman. I will have to save the whole world.
        Oh no! I have to get to work on the fort if I am saving the whole world.
Maybe my mom will know. Nope she says the same as my dad. What if I turn on the TV and show them but the news isn’t on again till 12;00. So I must try something else.
        I know my mom taps all the news maybe she type this one.' Mom dad come here' I got something to tell you. See right there ..........o my god "chomp chomp" and the monster ate the hole city accept for the young boy.  The boy tried to tell them but maybe the next monster will listen.

THE END

Bre the Monster
    “O” my goodness! There is a monster coming our way. What should we do? Yelled someone. Then somebody else yelled we should go into the mall were they have really great lockdown. So we should be safe in there.

    About an hour later we heard the monster trying to get into the building so we walked around to find a safer place in the mall. So while we were walking around the mall looking for a door that led to an under ground tunnel we all the sudden   found an underground tunnel. So we started walking down the tunnel about 45 minutes later when we reached the end we all started looking for stuff to block the opening. We all went home and we never saw the monster again. So from that day on people have wondered so much what happened to the monster.

Damion   monster
Oh. My goodness. There is a monster coming our way. There is a monster coming our way and it is going to destroy our town and we are going to try to stop it. But if it is going to powerful then we will not be able to catch the evil monster the monsters name is going to blow fire out of its nose. It will burn all our houses down and we will be poor and not have any food or drinks so we will starve to death and we will have to find some food. If it means to kill some animals and get food off of the animals and then we will move to a different state. That is how we are going to save are state we will have to move far, far away from the ugly beast its name is Hugo Chavez and he destroys all of our vehicle and are pets, food, drink and lot more things.

       Boe’s Monster Story
My friends and I were camping in the woods. Right next to one of the nastiest ickiest swamp I have ever seen. When it was time to go to sleep, we started telling scary stories. It was my turn first.
         I told them there was a swamp.
Every body turned and looked at the swamp; then I said that there were four friends setting around a campfire telling ghost stories. Everybody was getting scared. Then I said there was an evil monster. Every body was like “Ah! There’s a monster coming our way.” And every body was scared.
            Everybody was waiting for a monster to come out of the swamp. After I told the story I was a little scared also. I could not sleep that good either, and no body else could either.
           When I got out of the tent I woke every body else up. And we sat by the campfire to get my mind off the monster story.
         5 minutes later I heard a sound coming out of the swamp. I got scared. It was the monster. Every body was like “Ah! It is a monster.”

Michelle and Monsters

It all happened on the night of Halloween, when I was about 10 years old. I was going to be a princess, but I changed my mind. I decided that I was going to be a little monster. But then around midnight, I saw a bigger monster that looked exactly like me. He had the same kind of fur, and it looked like he was really real! He glared at me for about ten minutes. Then I asked him, "Who are you, because you can’t be real.”
         But when I got my costume, there were only little monsters, and there was only one of them left. Then he finally answered, ''I don’t now, who do you think I am? ''He sounded like a really tuff man with a really deep voice. It kind of sounded like my Dad. But my Dad was at home with my brothers. Then he started to walk towards me and I started back up away from him. He came closer and said, ''by the way if you haven't figured out yet my name is monster from the dead! I said,  ''hi my name is Marissa, how do you do? ''I'm not here to play games little girl! I'm here to scare and rule the world, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha!  But that’s not nice you shouldn’t do that. Bad monster! Bad! Then he started to charge again.  We all said, ''OH NO HELP THERES A MONSTER COMING OUR WAY! I said, you should all ways be nice no matter how you look or no body will like you. He said, "Okay I will start being nice again. " "Good!" I said.  That was my exciting Halloween!

   The Beast Alexis

 Chapter 1 Missing
One time a little girl went into the woods. Her name was Catie . She was looking for her friend Megan. She disappear a week ago.
The village thought that the great Beast took her. But she did not believe it. She never did. She was from the city.
Yet she never found her. She was missing. Catie was upset. In a week they had to go home. What would she say to Megan’s mother? I am sorry we lost your kid get over it? No she would kill us.

Chapter 2 Look out!
So Catie went in to the woods. But this time she found a cabin .She went in it. In the cabin she found Megan tied up. She was wiggling and trying to say something.
So Catie untied her. Megan yelled, "Look out!” Behind her big four armed freak holding a big bloody butcher’s knife. We started to run. They did not know what to do.
Suddenly he pulled out four other butcher’s knife. They screamed really loud. But the village was 10 miles away.
